This morning, I sat with a group of 3rd-year university students in economics, business, and engineering. The topic of discussion: AI and its impact on the job market and society.
I was asked the question: “What skills should I focus on to be well-positioned through these changes?”
For me, the answer is simple — and actually the same as before the AI wave hit us: “Curiosity and communication skills.”
Those who are fast-learners, adopt technology rapidly, use it to their advantage, and can communicate their ideas clearly and understandably will always have countless opportunities.
Or, to quote what my friend Kjartan put so well yesterday:
“There is always a demand for people who have the spark.”
